3.2 Creating symbol elements

The Symbol Editor provides a set of general graphical shapes that can be used as symbol elements. All symbol elements except bitmap images are vector-based and therefore they can be used with precision and are easy to scale. In this chapter we introduce each shape and provide detailed descriptions of how to create it and how to change shape-specific properties. Editing operations that are common for all shapes, like scaling and aligning, are discussed in Section 3.1.2; setting properties that are common for all shapes, like line styles, fill colors, and conditions, is discussed in Section 3.1.3.
