MetaEdit+ 5.6 released
MetaEdit+ 5.6 has been released. MetaEdit+ is aimed at expert developers who want to generate efficient, complete results deterministically directly from domain-specific models.
This release introduces powerful new features and improvements, including:
- Enhanced multi-user metamodeling: work seamlessly and safely alongside other (meta)modelers
- Flexible type hierarchy: move types within the language definition hierarchy with existing model data updating automatically (video)
- Advanced generator commands: support for role positions and dynamic ports
- Improved model refactor and replace tools: better UI and paste replacement capabilities
- New text Find Dialog: supports case sensitivity, whole words, wildcards, regex, next/previous navigation, and copying results as text
- Filtering options: new filters to inspect changes & versions
- Browser enhancements: powerful filters (| for OR, ^ for AND-NOT), New Object Browser hierarchy method "All Until Subgraph" plus significant time and memory optimizations
- Extended API commands: for properties, bindings, memory limits, and CORS support
- New command-line parameters for more flexible automation
- Security and reliability: hardened against network penetration testing and improved support for less reliable networks
