Having real-time checking of model completeness and
correctness is useful during modeling. MetaEdit+ checks and enforces most rules
as you edit the model, preventing errors, but the language designer can also
choose to show softer errors and warnings in the symbols of the modeling
language and/or as a list in a Live Check pane at the bottom of the Diagram
Editor (
Figure 4–27). Errors
listed there can include underlined hyperlinks, which you can double-click to
jump to the linked element in the model.

Live Check pane is shown only if there is a __LiveCheck generator in the current
modeling language. For more information on how to create __LiveCheck generators,
please refer to the ‘MetaEdit+ Workbench User’s Guide’. When
available, the Live Check pane’s visibility can be toggled with the
View | Live Check menu
item.
