4.1.9 Diagram Editor Live Check Pane

Having real-time checking of model completeness and correctness is useful during modeling. MetaEdit+ checks and enforces most rules as you edit the model, preventing errors, but the language designer can also choose to show softer errors and warnings in the symbols of the modeling language and/or as a list in a Live Check pane at the bottom of the Diagram Editor (Figure 4–27). Errors listed there can include underlined hyperlinks, which you can double-click to jump to the linked element in the model.

This Live Check pane is shown only if there is a __LiveCheck generator in the current modeling language. For more information on how to create __LiveCheck generators, please refer to the ‘MetaEdit+ Workbench User’s Guide’. When available, the Live Check pane’s visibility can be toggled with the View | Live Check menu item.
