Thank you for purchasing MetaEdit+®, a new
generation metaCASE tool. MetaCase sincerely hopes that this tool will offer you
the functionality you need for your work.
MetaEdit+ comes in two
versions:
 | MetaEdit+,
which is a fully functional CASE environment with wide
modelling language support, documentation and code generators. This manual
provides information about
MetaEdit+. |
| MetaEdit+
Workbench, which offers you metaCASE features allowing you
to create CASE tool support for your own lanaguages and generators. Workbench
also provides more advanced external interfacing options via API and XML
import/export formats. The more advanced features of the MetaEdit+ Workbench are
described in a separate manual, ‘MetaEdit+ Workbench User’s
Guide’. |
Some external interfacing, import
and export features of MetaEdit+ Workbench are also available for MetaEdit+ with
the API add-on product. The basic usage of these optional features is explained
in this manual: sections discussion such features not available in all versions
of MetaEdit+ are clearly marked.
In addition, all versions of MetaEdit+ are available for
single and multi-user environments. The differences caused by a multi-user
environment are explained in this manual, where they affect the normal user.
‘MetaEdit+ System Administrator’s Guide’ explains in more
detail how to set up MetaEdit+ for multiple users.
