Thank you for the reply. I figured it out. 
The problem came when the symbol was saved, all elements were grouped together and then somehow the transparency of one certain element was set as preset for all elements of that group. I used edit fill and ungroup and the object showed up in the diagram editor.

Two things to check:
- did you perhaps define an Icon and not a Symbol?
- do the symbol elements have conditions?

If it's neither of those, then feel free to post and attach a small *.mec example graph saved with Graph | Export to | MetaEdit+ Patch File.

I created an object and then gave it illustration using the symbol editor defining its color and specifications. But in the diagram editor that particular object is being show as transparent with just the white outline markers and nothing is displayed in the graph, although the object is created and exists in the sidebar treeview with all its specifications. I am not able to find out the reason why its showing as blank. Would you be able to help?
