Hello
I am just evaluating MetaEdit+. While playing with symbol editor I could not find the option for filling the shape with "gradient" color. At the same time I observed that sample projects contain many shapes with gradients. Unfortunately I failed to find the answer in User's Manual. Anyone can help me to solve this puzzle ? Regards Wojciech |

Try searching the manuals for 'gradient' :)
Here's the result: http://www.metacase.com/support/51/manuals/mwb/Mw-3_3.html#EditFill i.e. select the element, open the pop-up menu, and choose Edit Fill. In 'Edit Fill' mode you will see handles for the color at different points of the gradient, can move them to change the gradient, right-click them to change the color, Ctrl-click to remove a point, and double-click between them to add new points. Right-clicking in Edit Fill mode outside of the handles lets you choose different types of fill (although note that Cairo currently only supports Gradient and Radial, mapping Square and Path to Radial). You can see a short video example of creating a gradient fill right on our homepage, www.metacase.com.

Thanks a lot. I don't know how I managed to fail with this search yesterday (searching for "gradiant" in the docs was my first idea).
Btw where should I post bug reports ? |
