   A well-designed architecture is crucial for successfully implementing embedded systems. Architecture Description Languages (ADLs) provide a mechanism to specify, analyze and document the architectures, as well as generate code, configuration files and other necessary artefacts. AADLs are usually domain-specific: Different formalisms are needed for different kinds of embedded systems, thereby emphasizing the need for more domain-specific modeling.
