It looks like its not possible to create a meta meta model notation that can have as its properties meta model objects ... Is this correct? thank you, Daniel |

What you can do is what we've done in the Graphical GOPRR language: a domain-specific language for specifying domain-specific languages. It generates MXT, our XML metamodel format. And yes, it's bootstrapped :). It also allows you to specify the interaction between multiple languages: types from language A reused/referenced in language B, decompositions, explosions etc.
Just like we created the graphical GOPRR language, you can create any metamodeling language you like, and in that language you can specify any modeling language you like. |
