Service Release 2 for MetaEdit+ 4.0 released

Service Release 2 for MetaEdit+ 4.0 is now available, initially for Windows and soon for other platforms. The main additions in Service Release 2 are:

Diagram Editor

• Repeatedly create objects/relationships of same type if Ctrl down when toolbar button clicked
• New 'Rel' button in types toolbar starts relationship creation without specifying type of relationship
• Option for not auto-zooming large diagrams to fit when opening

Report Browser

• Toolbar added to the Report Browser
• Added Word Wrap and base Font selection to Text Editor & Report Output Tool
• Types shown in choice box are now presented as a tree view.
• After template insertion cursor/selection positioned in template.
• Inserting template with shift down moves any existing selection into body of if, do etc.

Workbench

• Added font setting for property dialog elements; chosen font also applies to text editor opened from that element.
• Added Reset Projects button to Property Tool for EditableLists.
• Added window size and element position settings to property dialog definer.

Windows

• Menus open correctly on Windows XP SP2 (workaround for MS mouse event 'features' in SP2)
• Support Classic Theme on Windows XP
• Double-click time taken from Windows settings

Other

• Database 55% faster (on P4 3.0GHz - percentage higher on faster machines)
• Added C generator skeleton for Watch Example
• Rewrote and expanded Report Definition Language section in User's Guide
• Added more explanation of instProps command in API manual
• Multi-sort for Table Editor
• Plus bug fixes, cosmetic changes etc.
