DSM

Award for Software Factories book

March 25, 2005 22:44:27 +0200 (EET)

Congratulations to Keith Short, Jack Greenfield, Steve Cook and Stuart Kent of the Microsoft DSM team! Their Software Factories book received one of the Jolt "Productivity Awards" in the ''Books: General" category. For the uninitiated, the Jolt Awards are given out each year by Software Development magazine, one winner and three "Productivity Awards" for each of 13 categories.

From Keith Short's WebLog:

Wow! We heard that our Software Factories book was awarded a “Productivity Award” in the General Books Category at the Software Development Magazine Jolt Awards last week. This is a great honor, and we are deeply grateful to the judges and organizers for this result.

DSM Forum logo, DSM: Domain-Specific ModelingJuha-Pekka and I had the pleasure of having lunch with these guys and others from the Microsoft DSM team at OOPSLA, as part of the launch of the DSM Forum. To all those who've been waiting to hear more from the DSM Forum, our apologies: we've been waiting on the Microsoft guys and their official decision making processes, which of course take time. Our own time pressures have kept us from pushing them along as we might like to have, but have no fear: the real work of the forum continues as normal, things are just quiet on the official announcements front. There's an interview or two in the offing, ads in press, and a workshop sponsorship later this year. And keep those DSM links coming to dsmforum@dsmforum.org!
